TV antennas can present a safety risk and can cause property damage if they fall or get struck by lightening. Many older antennas fall apart slowly, leaving pieces across the roof or yard.
Small antennas are mounted to the roof and can be easily taken down. Large antennas are found on poles, which are mounted to the roof, a chimney, or on the ground. The poles stand anywhere from 5 to 30 feet high and are normally supported by brackets.
